ICO-THANE 25
ICO-THANE 25 is a rather smooth and more flexible, light-fast polyester-based aqueous aliphatic polyurethane dispersion. Applied on a rope or twine it will give a smooth, flexible touch while strongly improving the abrasion resistance.
| Application | ICO-THANE 25 is a PU based dispersion which needs to be properly dried and cured under ambient conditions, to form a fully polymerized film. ICO-THANE 25 uses nanotechnology. ICO-THANE 25 may be used without modification or diluted with water, by spray, dip or lick-roll methods, to bring a finish on fibers or a coating on the strands or rope. When it is applied in sufficient thickness the Titanium Dioxide in the system will make the film UV-blocking. It is recommended to verify the actual performance in the application by testing. |
| Characteristics | ICO-THANE 25 can be mixed with any other non-ionic emulsions and liquid pigments (ICO-PRINT range). ICO-THANE 25 has outstanding abrasion and cut-resistance when applied on ropes. It gives a smooth and flexible, highly extensible film. It gives high clarity, dry films which do not discolor on exposure to day light. |
| Packaging | ICO-THANE 25 is available in ± 25 kg, ± 200 kg disposable PE drums or in disposable IBC’s of 1 ton. |
| Storage | Stored in SEALED CONDITIONS, at ambient temperature (5°-30° C), ICO-THANE 25 is at least 6 months stable. |
